The recent revelation in the Supreme Court by Punjabs advocate, acknowledging that reduced security measures contributed to the tragic death of world renowned Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has sparked a significant response from Moosewalas father Balkaur Singh. In a poignant statement, Balkaur Singh on Thursday urged the Punjab Government to take decisive action against those responsible for his sons untimely demise.   Balkaur Singhs statement comes in the wake of the Punjab Governments admission in the Apex Court, signaling a critical turning point in the quest for justice for Sidhu Moosewala. He emphasized that the Governments acknowledgment of the situation underscored the urgent need for accountability and action.   Highlighting the significance of truth prevailing, Balkaur Singh underscored the importance of the Punjab Governments affidavit in the Supreme Court in a matter related to the opening of a road before the Chief Ministers official residence in Chandigarhs Sector 2.   Balkaur Singh has all along been maintaining that his sons murder was a direct consequence of the compromised security measures, which were implemented as per the aam Aadmi party (AAP) led state governments directives.   Delving deeper into the matter, Balkaur Singh also questioned the governments response and accountability, particularly regarding the security arrangements for Moosewala. He raised concerns about the parallels drawn to the security situation during the 1980s, a tumultuous period in Punjabs history marked by insurgency and governance under the Governors rule. He urged the Government to demonstrate humanity by initiating legal action against those found responsible for the lapses in security, emphasizing the need for FIRs to be filed promptly.   Reiterating the importance of the affidavit filed by the state of Punjab in the Supreme Court, which unequivocally attributes Moosewalas murder to the compromised security measures, he stressed that the Governments acknowledgment of its role in the tragedy is a significant step forward in the pursuit of justice.   If the government truly upholds principles of humanity, it must hold responsible individuals accountable for their actions, he said, emphasizing that Punjab Governments role in Moosewalas murder cannot be overlooked while urging authorities to prioritize the investigation.   Balkaur Singh also highlighted the case of jailed gangster and allegedly main accused in Sidhu Moosewala case, Lawrence Bishnoi, whose interview took place over two years ago. It has been a year and a half since Lawrence Bishnois interview, and yet the Government has been unable to locate him. Moreover, those who individuals or officials who helped in conducting this interview, have left the country, he said, adding that Lawrence Bishnois interview was conducted with the connivance of senior officials in Punjabs jail only on March 7 and 8.
